Directorate of Finance and Account

The directorate has two unit namely; Audit and Finance unit.

Functions

The directorate has the following functions:

• Delivery and improvement of efficiency in the productivity of public financial management.

• Ensuring checks and balances are employed in all daily official work. And making sure there are transparency and accountability through the funds received and utilization in the health service.

• Responsible for summarizing and analyzing all financial transaction of inflows and outflows with a view and timely decision-making process.

• Manage the financial activities of the ministry.

• Ensure proper maintenance of accounting books and records.

• Preparing daily/periodic financial reports to management.

• Ensure reconciliation of bank statement with record in the overhead, capital and any other existing accounts.
• Ensure the preparation of Annual Budget and the implementation of Appropriate Acts.
